  • Earn 3 or 5-semester credits during a two-and-a-half-week January term studying abroad in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
  • Choose a course: Travel Photography, South African Wine and Winemaking, or Business
  • Housing included in shared apartments.
  • To help you get a true taste of South African culture, the AIFS team arranges a variety of cultural and social activities such as a guided sightseeing tour of Cape Town, a visit to Robben Island and the prison museum, a day trip to the Cape of Good Hope, Table Mountain by cable car.
  • Business students will visit a large-scale beer and wine export company including tastings as well as smaller businesses to see the inner workings of different business models within the context of a developing country
  • Photography students will also enjoy a winery tour with tasting, visit Addo Elephant Park, take a 3-hour game drive to locate and photograph elephants, visit the surfer’s paradise of Jeffrey’s Bay and the dramatic coastal and forest landscapes of Tsitsikamma National Park during their 6-night tour of the Garden Route.
  • Winemaking students will enjoy visits to a variety of wineries, vineyards, and wine farms in and around Stellenbosch and the beautiful town of Franschhoek
  • Transcripts issued by Stellenbosch University.
