Webster Ghana opened in March 2014 and is located in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. Webster Ghana is situated in a pleasant, residential neighborhood in East Legon, in Greater Accra, in close proximity to a number of other foreign and local universities. Webster Ghana’s diverse student population, international faculty, and student-centered approach to learning make the campus not only unique, but a truly global university.

The Webster University Ghana Campus offers ultra-modern classrooms, a well-stocked library, a computer lab, 24/7 wifi access, a student lounge, and a recreational room. In short, Webster students can study and relax in an environment that is designed to ensure their fullest development. Students can also experience Greater Accra by enjoying some of the nearby restaurants or take a short trip into the city center to places like Labone and Osu.

The Ghana campus promises students a relaxed and well-linked environment. The staff is attentive and the facilities are state-of-the-art, both of which will help to shape students into global leaders with an appreciation for the diversity of our world.

Location, Housing, and Student Life

Accra, Ghana                      accra campus
Located in West Africa’s lush forest region, Ghana’s capital, Accra, is a vibrant yet easygoing hub. This heaving metropolis was the backdrop for the birth of African independence in 1957 and continues to capture the hearts and affections of many today. Ghana is rich in arts and culture, and Accra is just one slice of what the country has to offer. As the capital, though, it has a visual vibrancy that permeates both formal and informal settings. From hand-painted advertisements to traditional paintings and carvings, there is much for the eye and mind to feast on. The Arts Centre is a great one-stop-shop to pick up gifts and crafts. It houses vendors as opposed to producers, so it’s best to survey all stalls before haggling for the best price. Accra is also home to must-see historical sites such as the Kwame Nkrumah mausoleum, Ghana National Museum, and Independence Square.

Student Housing
Ghanahousing
Webster Ghana offers ultra-modern on-campus hostel facilities with three floors made up of en-suite double and quad student rooms. All floors have a common living area, well-stocked kitchen, dining area, and the student lounge is found on the ground. Students enjoy DSTV (cable), 24/7 free Wi-Fi access, on-site laundry services, free electricity with a 24/7 standby generator as well as cleaning services.

Student Life
Every semester, Webster Ghana Campus welcomes a diverse student population of undergraduates and graduates from Ghana, continental Africa, and the rest of the world. The student community at Webster University Ghana campus is diverse, dynamic, and engaged in their classes and beyond.

Study Abroad students not only experience life in Accra but also have an out-of-town excursion every term to wildlife, heritage, or relaxation spots in
gorlok hubdifferent parts of the country.  Excursions to sites such as Shai Hills Natural Resource Reserve, Cape-Coast Slave Castle, Elmina Slave Castle,
Kakum National Park, Wli Waterfalls, Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, and
the Akosombo Dam are common. Some students have even organized group overnight trips to cities such as Kumasi, home to the famous Manhyia Palace and kente weaving sites even further up north for up-close experiences with wildlife at Mole National Park and Paga Crocodile Pond.

The student community at Webster Ghana campus is involved in a range of extracurricular activities. They create and manage clubs based on interest or passion and are also supported by the student affairs office. Some student events include monthly student forums known as Webster Talks, Conversations with Christa (forums with the Campus Director), Obstacle Courses especially the Annual Gorlok Games, Student BBQ, Student Lecture series, Movie Nights, Networking cocktails, SGA Parties, Fitness classes, and walks, Global Dance Workshop, Go-Karts, and Paintball games,
studentsatKakum
Multicultural Thanksgiving dinners, Holiday parties, and many more.  Whatever your interest may be, at Webster Ghana we make that interest a reality.

The Gorlok Hub, which is the newly launched student recreational center, officially opened its doors to students in January 2021. This hub is home to
the campus canteen, student lounge, and Radio Webster studio. Students get to relax, engage and connect with each other in this beautiful space.
